This oil was artisanally crafted by one of our trusted friends in India—perfect for those who love the distinctive scent of traditional Indian ouds.
The fragrance opens with a bold, luxurious, and animalic aroma with a beloved leathery touch admired by many oud lovers. Shortly after, it transitions into a balsamic, woody, incensey profile blended with florals, fruits, and hints of vanilla and cocoa/chocolate.
This oil was distilled using the traditional method of (slow-fire) steam distillation using firewood.
It reminds me of a knight on horseback wandering through farmland, surrounded by mossy haystacks basking in sunlight—like the sun itself is guarding him on his journey through valleys and farmlands. Dry earth, golden rays, hay, cows, sheep, and horses… nothing else could better capture the essence of this rare, fragrant oasis.
