This oud oil is named after the city of Malino, located in the northern part of Kalimantan Island, Indonesia.
It stands out with its woody and earthy aroma, reminiscent of the scent of soil after rain, filling the air with freshness. Another unique aspect of this oil is its “papery” scent—an aroma that evokes the feeling of being inside an ancient library filled with boxes and shelves of old books and documents. Imagine holding an old book in your hands, opening it, and inhaling its aroma. This rare combination of scents is seldom found in a single oud oil today.
It is one of the rarest oils due to the difficulty of production and the limited availability of Malino forests.
With its beautiful, thick consistency, this oud is woody, incense-like, velvety, formal, and incredibly luxurious, making it perfect for special occasions and festive events.
Purity: Verified to be 97% pure, not 100%, as determined by the source. This is due to a substance used to inject the tree to attract insects, which wound the tree and trigger a “self-defense” response that produces resin—the source of this oud oil. This substance shows up in GC-MS analysis at a concentration of 2-3%.
